Hello! My name is Rae and I've always had an affinity for crafting and putting things together for as far back as I can remember. After having children and making various things for last minute school needs, I rediscovered my love for sewing and making. Sewing and creating for little ones began with a need to find an outlet as therapy for the stress and anxiety of being a full time stay at home mom of 3.

This journey really making soy candles when our youngest child was born. My name is Rae and my husband brilliantly came up with the name Rae of Light Creations. Making candles became a bit of a task with a small toddler running around trying to “help”. Unfortunately, I quickly discovered that candles was much harder than others make it look! Major kudos to those home candle makers out there.

I then started out with hair bows for our two girls to support our son's football team. Several other parents started asking where I got them and if I would sell them. Now, 4 years later, Rae of Light Creations has grown into making all sorts of accessories and gifts for all children! I enjoy being able to create things to make our little ones happy and excited to face the day! Sewing has since become my biggest interest and crafting outlet. I also sew clothes for our youngest daughter. She is always more than willing to be my “guinea pig” for any patterns or ideas that I may have!
